Brandon is a member of the P.A.T.H.S program of Long Beach California and joined us for the day.

The day has been great. I really enjoyed working with the people from New York. First I started by being interviewed by the Peers kids. Then I went to San Diego with the group and was given the opportunity to interview. I really liked it. In my community there are not many youth that try to do things to change the world but these teens do. Boy how dynamic and fulfilling it is to see it. Knowing that somebody some where is taking and interest in today’s youth and trying to help us cope with the problems that plague today’s youth. Traveling with the group has given me the chance to see what it really is about. What it is about is working to make a change, to change the world. I really appreciate what this trip has done for me. It has changed the course of my life completely. Now I know what is real and that I can. I love everyone I met and can not wait to get a chance to go to New York and observe more closely what the youth there are doing to change the world. We as youth can and will do it, we will persevere.

I thought today was really great. It was my first time doing an interview. I’m usually the sound the guy working the boom poles or the lavalers but today I got to be the interviewer. The night before I was a little scared because I’m pretty shy and I don’t like to talk a lot but it all worked out the next day. The next day we all ate at Ihop for breakfast.. The group met Brandon and he was acting as hyper as he ever does. Soon after breakfast we went on the road in the motor home heading to the place to do our interviews. I was chillen with the chill town YAAAAAAAA!!! And Buck YAAAA BUCK YAAAAAAAAAAA and we was havin fun.
I fell asleep after a few minutes into the drive then I woke up an hour later. We soon arrived at the place and starting setting up. I was the sound guy from 1 to 4 but they didn’t really need me because the mics was tapped up to the drawers. Soon later my interview arrived and I started talking to her. Her name was Lauren and she was cute. She told me about her program and told me some other stuff about her. I was remembering the day before yesterday how Ray, Sam and I did that great interview yesterday. I was like maybe I can get the same thing with her. So I talked and talked and eventually got her story. I asked her to share it on camera and she did. The interview was great I started off with simple introductory questions then soon nailed the part I experienced with her.
After the interview I talked with some of the other people then they soon left. After they left we went to Applebees for dinner. We had fun, Ray and Brenden were doing the mime joke and I followed with the same thing. After leaving we were on the road again and I started with me reflection. I think today was great as with every other day of this trip I really like the people and they are really kind to me. I had fun like I never did before I think this trip is the BOMB!!!!!!.
