Ah, the last full day of California! Tomorrow, the group will return to New York. Because of all of our hard work, today was a fun and relaxing day. This morning, we went to Pacific Beach in San Diego, and spent the first few hours body surfing and being beat up by the Pacific surf, burying Brendan in the sand, and drawing funny things on Brendan’s back in sun block as he was sleeping and getting a tan. Then one o’clock rolled around and it was time for surf lessons with Rusty. Surfing was great, every one picked it up quickly and most everyone loved it. Around Six o’clock, it was off to a nice sea food restaurant where no one had to care how much anything cost because it was the final dinner for the trip. In reflection on the whole trip, the whole group worked very well together and also, completely independent from any adults for the first time. The Jeter’s Leaders on the trip learned very quickly and fit right in with this strange bunch of kids (as Jeremy pointed out only 4% of the world’s population are true redheads, and Peers Influence Peers has two.) So after a long ride home, and a quick breakfast tomorrow, we will be returning back to the best state in the entire USA…..Texas….
