In 1994 Frank Reale and Buck Heller founded the Peers Influence Peers Partnership. They were soon joined by Patricia Cassio. Together with hundreds of young and dedicated young people they produced award winning national broadcasts that have been seen by millions of youth.
Frank was a teacher and a coach for the Putnam Valley Central School District in New York for 33 years before retiring in 2004 to work full time for the Peers Partnership. It was in 1994, as an outgrowth of a middle school video club that Peers Partnership was born. Meaghan, a 10th grader, had just lost her cousin in a drunk driving accident. She had been a member of the PVTV Video Productions Club, under Frank's'direction, while in middle school. She wanted to do something, so Peers Influence Peers was founded, because a 15 year old girl wanted to make a difference.
Frank was selected 4 times for Who's Who in American Teachers, was the recpient of 6 Telly Awards and nominated for the Golden Apple Award for Teacher of the Year. Frank was the recpient of the 2008 Putnam County Award for Communcation, in 2006 and 2007 received the Communicator Award of Distinction for Peers Partnership. He served for 6 years as a trustee on the Putnam Valley Central School District Board of Education.
